Synopsis of John's Rosemond's Parent Retreat Weekend
On Friday and Saturday, John will host a Weekend Parenting Retreat in various towns across America. The event will be held at a hotel, church, school or someone’s home and food will be provided throughout the weekend by John.
This weekend “re-parenting” experience will be limited to 20 people (couples and single parents), insuring that each and every “parenting unit” will receive a good amount of personal attention from John, who will make himself available for a limited number of private consultations through the weekend.
The retreat schedule will commence on Friday and Saturday’s session commence at 9:00 am and wrap at 4:00 on Friday and 3:00 on Saturday. In addition to presenting the workshop content, John will provide plenty of time for questions and discussion of individual parenting issues. Everyone is on their own for lunch and dinner on those two days.
In total, each participant or couple will benefit from approximately eleven workshop hours, during which John will present practical concepts and disciplinary tools for dealing with a broad range of problem areas, both at home and at school. Just a few of the topics John will cover include:
• A Fundamental Reality Check: What Your Child Is, and What Your Child is Not
• Getting into Rhythm with the Seasons of Parenthood
• Effective Discipline is an Attitude, not a Set of Techniques
• The Do’s and Don’ts of Becoming Leader of Children

• Compelling Consequences
• What is a Proverbs 22:6 parent?
• Parenting the Strong-Willed Teenager
Cost for the entire retreat, including the aforementioned meals, is $695 per couple or $349 for a single parent. Lodging and ground transportation are the responsibility of participants, but we will be glad to help folks with their accommodations and make restaurant recommendations and reservations.
