As an educator with experience in public and private settings, I have witnessed the many parenting styles of my students’ parents. The common sense problem-solving John Rosemond espouses seems to be a rare commodity in homes, with the resultant rebellion overflowing in to our classrooms.
What worked for my grandparents and parents can still spell success for today’s parents. Coupled with biblical principles, John’s approach to parenting is a dynamic means for nurturing responsible young people. That is what drew me to obtaining my John Rosemond Leadership Parenting certification.
My husband and I have raised two sons in our thirty years of marriage. There is nothing like family life to evoke the learning needed to build productive and loving lives for children and parents. Reading John Rosemond’s columns while raising our sons was a regular part of our parenting journey.
I’ve enjoyed teaching experiences in private, public, and home education. With a study emphasis on neurological influences on learning, I am enthusiastic about soon completing an Educational Specialist degree as it complements my two Masters in Music and in Educational Psychology. Educational assessments and multi-sensory educational therapy are additional options through my private practice.
I welcome opportunities to share John’s parenting principles in churches, schools, homes or small group settings.
