About Mary Elizabeth:

Mary Elizabeth is a parent coach in the Northern Virginia/DC area. She and her husband of just over one year moved to Virginia in January 2011 from Birmingham, Alabama and are expecting their first child in the summer of 2012. Mary Elizabeth graduated from Samford University with a degree in Family Studies and worked as a Children’s Pastor in Birmingham for over 4 years before moving. She now nannies for three very sweet children and is excited about welcoming her own child into the world.

Mary Elizabeth is a Certified Coach in the John Rosemond Leadership Parenting Institute and really enjoys working with families on making their homes run more smoothly and peacefully. She has a true love for children and believes that the happiest children are those with well-defined boundaries. About Me:

Married 22 years, the mother of four children, an experienced educator in both regular and special education. I hold a Masters Degree as a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist and a teaching credential in Special Education. My career has included 10 years practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing with children with autism, 20 years of parenting my own children, and 7 years in a regular education classroom teaching as well as coordinating learning accommodations for children with specific learning needs. I believe that parenting is a privilege that should bring joy and happiness more than stress and anguish. My mission is to educate, support and empower parents as they navigate the journey of parenthood. As a Certified Parent Coach by the John Rosemond Leadership Parenting Institute, my goal is to provide parents individualized coaching that is designed to meet the needs of their particular family situation. About Me:

After earning an MBA and spending 25 years working with young people in business and education, Sue is now following her true passion -helping others find the joy and fulfillment from parenting that she experienced after discovering John Rosemond’s practical philosophy for raising children.

When Sue’s children were preschoolers, she saw them becoming self-absorbed, demanding youngsters. She then learned of Rosemond’s principles, began to implement them and was amazed how quickly her children became appreciative, helpful, responsible members of the family. Today at ages, 21, 26 and 29 they are all independent and successful adults.

Sue has personal experience with single-parent families and blended families.

Sue’s energy is contagious and her warm, caring personality endears her to children and adults alike. She would be pleased to consult with you regarding any issues you might have with your children.
