MEMBERSHIP AREA UPDATE: As of April 30, 2008, there are more than 3,500 answered questions in the Q&A archives. Most of these questions - approximately 90% - were answered by John, and he answers an average of 5 questions per day (to date, John and Diane, toilet training expert of reknown, have answered every legitimate question posed by members). They cover a broad range of parenting issues, and the archives can be searched using search words and phrases. Only members can ask John questions. In addition, we are in the process of uploading every single newspaper column John has written since 1984 - some 1250 columns, added weekly - and the column archives are also searchable using words and phrases. At this time and for the forseeable future, we are not going to increase the cost of membership, which remains at $29.95 per year and includes the CD, "Leadership Parenting," a 180-minute talk John gave in Sacramento.
June 15, 2009 - IMPORTANT NOTICE: There are now well over 5000 answered questions on the site. By far, the greatest number - around 800, in fact - concern potty training problems. Over the past few years, Diane Kotakis has answered every conceivable potty training question. Believe me when I say she's covered all the bases, sometimes many times over. All of her answers can be found in the Q and A archives, using appropriate search words. From this point on (June 15, 2009) Diane will only answer a question on potty training if the question is completely unique and similar questions have never been answered before. So, if you submit a potty training question, and it's not answered within a week, that means you need to go to the archives. Thank you for your understanding. John
There are no refunds or extensions for non-usage.
**Important! You Must Read This and Accept the Terms Described Below Before Becoming a Member of Rosemond.com:
1. Submitting a question does not necessarily mean that John or Diane will answer the question. Questions will be selected for answer based on a number of factors including the nature of the problem, the seriousness of the problem, and the length of the question, with shorter questions being given priority. Unfortunately, it is impossible for John to answer every single question submitted. On average, he answers approximately five questions a day, but that is not constant. Furthermore, he does not necessarily answer questions in the order submitted. John recommends that before asking a question, you search both the Q&A and Column Archives for similar questions or content. If you do not receive an answer to your question within a week or so, that may mean there is content in one or both of those archives that will address your needs. This service is not a substitute for professional help. Furthermore, John is not capable of answering questions that are highly complex or involve complicated family histories. In submitting a question, you absolve John of any and all responsibility for the outcome of any action you take based on his advice or comments.
2. This service is staffed by volunteers, not all of whom have advanced degrees, but all of whom have expertise in their respective areas of knowledge. Because they are volunteers, they are not obligated to answer a question, or a certain number of questions per week or month, or even to answer questions directed to them personally.
3. This service is not a substitute for a personal evaluation from a professional or advice given by a professional who has had personal contact with your child and family. The experts who staff this service are able to give the best advice they are capable of giving based on the information given. They understand that if they had the opportunity to have personal contact with the parent(s) asking a question, the child in question, and the family, that their advice might be different.
4. Persons reading an answer given to someone else's question understand that although the situation described in the question may be similar to their situation, that there are unique characteristics to their situation that might change a response given to it.
5. People submitting questions agree to the above and agree to not hold any professional who answers a question responsible/liable for problems that might ensue from following the advice given in the professional's answer.
6. Membership is non-refundable. Membership begins when you've made your payment. There are no refunds or extensions for non-usage.
7. Please note that we are NOT currently using an automated system, so there will be a delay of 2-3 working days between payment and receipt of your log-in information. You will receive a temporary username and password, which you may change. Your membership will begin the day you receive your temporary username and password.
