Atlanta, GA Parent Retreat: October 5 and 6, 2018

“This is the best thing that has ever happened to our family!” – Robert and Callie from San Diego

“A truly life-changing experience!” – Frank and Delores from Hawaii

“We leave with renewed confidence in our ability to raise well-mannered children!” – William and Anna from Atlanta

Over the past twenty years, John has been conducting two-day small-group Parent Retreats across the country. During these events, which he calls “re-parenting workshops,” John helps parents properly understand and solve the problems they’re having with kids of all ages, especially problems with discipline. As the above attendee-feedback indicates, parents from all over the USA have been unanimous in praising the experience.

On October 5 and 6, 2018 (Friday and Saturday), John is holding a Parent Retreat in Atlanta, GA!

John has recently revamped the Parent Retreat experience and is pleased to announce the following: In addition to two days (approximately 12 hours) of teaching, interaction, and Q&A with John, he will be hosting a group dinner (dutch) on Friday evening at a very nice local restaurant. Attendees are welcome to attend the dinner, during which he will devote some time to Q/A. Also included in the price of the retreat is a discounted one-hour follow-up phone (or in-person if convenient) consultation with John.

Cost:

Attending Cost
Couple $675
Married Parent (Coming Alone)          $450
Single Parent (Unmarried or Separated) $340

Schedule:

On Friday, October 5, John will teach basic effective parenting principles, with an emphasis on effective discipline. Borrowing from Bill O’Reilly, John says, “Caution! The principles I teach on day one are not what mental health professionals have been telling parents for the past fifty years. For one thing, this stuff isn’t based on bogus psychological theory; it’s based on research-based fact. As such, it makes sense, it’s easy to put into practice, and best of all, it works!”

On Saturday, October 6, John will use lots of real-life anecdotes to demonstrate the “how-to” of the principles from day one. This second day will be “customized” to the needs of individual parents and parent couples in the group, and John will give plenty of opportunity for questions.

New Bern, NC Parent Retreat: June 28-30, 2018

“This is the best thing that has ever happened to our family!” – Robert and Callie from San Diego

“A truly life-changing experience!” – Frank and Delores from Hawaii

“We leave with renewed confidence in our ability to raise well-mannered children!” – William and Anna from Atlanta

Over the past twenty years, John has been conducting two-day small-group Parent Retreats across the country (including Hawaii). During these events, which he calls “re-parenting workshops,” John helps parents properly understand and solve the problems they’re having with kids of all ages, especially problems with discipline. As the above attendee-feedback indicates, parents from all over the USA have been unanimous in praising the experience.

John will be doing a 3-day retreat on June 28, 29, and 30 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) in his hometown of New Bern, North Carolina! Founded in 1710 by Swiss colonists, New Bern is one of the most historic towns in the Carolinas. It was there, in 1893, that Pepsi Cola (originally, Brad’s Drink) was invented by pharmacist Caleb Bradham.  New Bern was the original capital of North Carolina and is home to the authentically restored, pre-Revolutionary War Governor’s Palace, Tryon Palace. Many of the homes in New Bern’s downtown historic district, including John and Willie’s, were built prior to the Civil War. History abounds in New Bern, but if you get tired of being a tourist, great beaches are only a 30-minute drive down Hwy 70.

The retreat will be held at the New Bern Golf and Country Club. The retreat is appropriate for parents of children of all ages. John is accepting no more than 20 participants (couples and single parents), ensuring that each and every parent or couple in attendance will receive plenty of individual attention.

The retreat price (below) includes a one-hour phone follow-up with John that can be exercised at any time.

Cost:

Attending Cost
Couple $750
Married Parent (Coming Alone)          $500
Single Parent (Unmarried or Separated) $375

Cost includes:

  • Three days of teaching, interaction, and Q&A with John
  • Retreat materials: notebook, supplementary reading, and a pen.
  • Informal mixer at John's home on Thursday evening
  • Lunch on Friday and Saturday
  • Dinner with John on Friday evening
  • One hour follow-up phone consultation with John

This retreat is limited to 20 participants, including couples and singles.

Please note: We cannot issue a refund for cancellations after June 14, 2018. If an attendee needs to cancel for any reason after June 14, we will gladly use your payment towards a future Parent Retreat.

Schedule:

The retreat will commence with an informal mixer Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00pm at John and Willie's home in the historic district of New Bern.

Friday will be devoted to a presentation of fundamental parenting principles, with a focus on effective discipline.  Following Friday’s session, dinner will be served at the New Bern Golf and Country Club.

On Saturday, John will shift to a more specific focus, showing how the foundations he set forth on Friday apply to specific behavior problems with children of all ages and how they apply to the various individual parenting issues that folks bring to the retreat. There will be a good amount of time devoted to interaction and Q&A.

Thursday, June 28:

Friday, June 29:

8:30 to 9:00 am – Participants arrive for coffee and meet ‘n’ greet

Other hotels are available in the area, but the Rosemond’s highly recommend The Doubletree. To reserve a room, call The Doubletree directly by May 28 at 252.638.3585 and tell them you’re attending the John Rosemond Seminar for the special rate.

Please note: If you fly into New Bern’s airport, the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (served by Delta and American and five minutes from the Rosemond’s home), The Doubletree has a complimentary hotel shuttle. However, you will need to rent a car for the weekend.
